Kunozan Toshogu Shrine

The shrine is located in Shizuoka Prefecture and is noted in connection with Tokugawa Ieyasu, who founded the Edo Shogunate. Ieyasu left in his will that his body would be buried in that place. First, his body was buried there, but it was transferred to Nikko one year after his death.

"Kunozan Toshogu." The name of this shrine.

  • The place where the body of Tokugawa Ieyasu was buried.
